TYFOS
1. Tyfos Derelict

TYFOS, GWYNEDD
The remains of a ring cairn or stone circle once comprising over 20 stones. It measures around 55' in diameter and was probably constructed in two distinct phases. In the valley of the River Dee (locally Afon Dyfrdwy), Tyfos is blessed by a landscape allowing magnificent ranges for the sun and moon to rise and set between. To its north west is a stunning steep wooded hill from which the river Nant Llyn Mynyllod flows past the site.
OS: SJ.028.388 On the B4401 south from Corwen, take the first right at Cynwyd and follow the minor road left as you cross the River Dee. After 2 miles, & 1 mile before the turning to Llandrillo, you should find Tyfos in a front garden to your right.
