STUART GALLIGAN
HOLDING

What do other people see? Can they see the seam or the join? The tongue and the groove, or the dovetail, The button and the hole, the hook and the eye, The hasp and the staple? Sometimes we're as wrong As a zip trying to grip onto Velcro, But mostly we hold fast; fingers clasped. Or a hand grips a wrist, Joins a hand, grips a wrist, Joins a hand, grips a wrist.
